The teutons are a central european civilization in age of empires ii.they focus on infantry.. historically, the teutons were a germanic tribe that participated in the great migration when the huns pushed various tribes out of modern-day germany and into contact with the declining roman empire. they eventually settled in modern-day germany and some in modern-day italy.. I play age of empires 2 not very long and i play byzantines and chinese all the time because good defense and good tech tree. and not long ago teutons was recommended to me..
The byzantines (or eastern roman empire) are an eastern european civilization in age of empires ii.they are situated in the balkan peninsula and asia minor, along the eastern seaboard of the mediterranean in the modern countries such as greece, turkey, bulgaria, and romania.. -op, if we are strictly talking pre-villager early game and average players and also restricting the situation to units vs units, then some of the all-around stronger civs are, in no particular order: saracens, teutons, mongols, spanish, mayans, byzantines.. You cant just build teutonic knights vs everything and expect to win. teutons are an amazing team but like any team you have to know what counters what. if the enemy has units to counter teutonic knights, don't make them. teutons are still a awesome pick imo because of the farm/garrison bonus, you can spam cavalry knights early or do pretty.
